LOVE GOD. LOVE OTHERS. MAKE DISCIPLES.

Who We Are

We are a Southern Baptist Church in Mebane, NC that attempts to glorify God by obeying Jesus’ command to make disciples of all people. We believe God has a purpose and plan for every person. Our desire at EBC is to help you experience God’s love and discover that unique purpose and plan He has for your life.

We do this by trying to keep the Gospel central in everything we do. As Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 15:3, we believe that the Gospel is of “first importance” so we should constantly reflect on it and base our lives and ministries around it.

There are a lot of things people seek in a church, and there are a lot of things we could do, but we have purposed to keep the Gospel the main thing. Therefore, our message is clear and simple. We believe that the hope for Mebane and the surrounding communities is the Gospel; we believe that it is the “power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16).

Our focus and purpose is to saturate this community with the “good news” about Jesus by proclaiming it individually and as a church through our actions and words. This is who we are growing to be through Christ working in us.

Worship Schedule

WHERE DO I GO?
The service begins at 10:00 am in the Flynn Center. Relax if you are not sure where that is. You will likely be greeted by someone as you walk up, and they will be glad to help.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
What you wear isn’t important. People wear anything from jeans to suits, but mostly you will see people dressed in a relaxed, everyday style.

WHAT IF I CAN’T ATTEND?
We understand that you may not be able to attend this service for a variety of reasons. In light of this, we will record and make available portions of the worship service through email, Facebook, and the EBC website.

WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?
Families and friends sit together at round tables. We think this provides a great relational environment that encourages worship.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
We encourage children of all ages to join us for worship. As pastor and author Robert Morgan wrote: “Families should worship together. Children best learn to worship by watching their parents and grandparents do it.” Feel free to bring coloring books and other fun stuff that can be enjoyed as your child watches, listens, and learns. And don’t forget to visit the Crafted Corner every week for new activities designed just for our kids! While childcare is not available at this time, we provide an environment where children are welcomed to worship with us.
